A Brief Description of My Over 17 Years of Practice

Yes, that's right.  It has been 17 years since I graduated Life Chiropractic College - West.  Throughout this period, my perspective on health, universal energy and my abilities as a chiropractor and healer have evolved dramatically.

Back in 1991 when I graduated, I realized that my technical skills were quite advanced.  I had been a guitar player for over 15 years and one of the top waterpolo players in the state.  Needless to say, my hand coordination and body awareness were well developed.  Also, I chose one of the top technique-based chiropractic colleges in the world to train.  I never realized it then, but my training and growth had just begun.

I moved to Southern California in 1993 to work with the top music chiropractor in the world.  He was referred to as the "music doctor," primarily because musicians flew in from all over the world to fix their hand problems.  It was amazing what I learned from Dr. Arlo Gordin.  There I was introduced to the Zindler Technique and Contact Reflex Analysis.  I saw careers restored, weight drop, diabetes disappear, hearing restored, surgeries evaded, and lives transformed under the guidance of my hands.

I thought that I had hit the pinnacle of my career working with Arlo, but then, I met Dr. Scott Walker.  Dr. Walker introduced me to the emotional side of health with the Neuro Emotional Technique, (NET).  This is by far the fastest way to assist people in breaking through the self-imposing barriers that keep them from getting where they want to go.

Around this time, I was also learning from a Native American teacher named Spirit Wind.  She taught me about chakras and healing through ritualistic ceremony.  She expanded my mind in understanding the Universal picture and the bigness of what I do.

I set out on my own and started a consulting practice called KITA Consultants.  KITA stands for Kick In The Ass.  I did set calls, studio calls, house calls, and worked out of my home.  I conducted retreats at hot springs and Lake Arrowhead, utilizing everything that I had learned thus far.  I worked on stars of television, music, and movies.  But then it happened.  I hit the wall and came to a big realization.

I had become one of the best holistic crisis care doctors in the world.  I had become great at helping people be "just not sick."  This also reflected in my own health.

About this time, I had developed anxiety and chest pain.  It kept getting progressively worse.  I was getting adjusted regularly.  I was taking the nutritional supplements.  I was getting NET regularly.  My condition just kept getting worse and worse.  One night, it got serious.  It was the worse feeling of my life.  My usual night walk after dinner to calm it down was not working.  My pacing around the living room and trying to distract myself failed to help.  I finally had to wake my wife and tell her to call 911.

There I was, sitting on the edge of the paramedic truck with EKG pads stuck to my chest, my wife crying and looking at me with concern as she was being comforted by a neighbor.  That was it.  That moment it all changed for me.  I had hit my bottom.

I evaluated my life.  I looked at my lifestyle and started to eliminate my vices.  I began working on myself and taking responsibility for everything that was in my life.  In other words, I became a true wellness doctor.

I dropped my house business and opened a practice at a location.  I chose to no longer help people to be just not sick.  I was going to help them be truly healthy.

I moved my practice to First Chiropractic and worked with Dr.s Brian Miller and Bryan Haas.  They taught me how to grow and use coaches to bring out my best.

I studied with Dr. James Chestnut, the foremost expert in wellness.  Dr. Miller and I flew to Seattle 4 times that year and I became an expert in Wellness.  I earned my certification as a Chiropractic Wellness Practitioner, one of the first in California.  Then there was another a big turning point for me.

Barbara became pregnant.  Our beautiful little girl was on her way.  I decided it was time to set out on my own and develop the practice of my dreams.  I wanted to build a legacy for my child, or at least show her that dreams can be achieved.  I opened Standing Tall Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Center just over 16 months ago.

Since this time, my personal growth has been exponential.  I signed up with Creating Wellness so that I could quantify a person's overall health and guide them forward based on their needs.  I developed an incredible new technique that tunes people to the energies of their ideal life so that they may manifest it more easily. I brought in outside speakers and started a series of classes that are designed to raise the health of the entire community.  I gathered a team of experts to join the office and help people establish a state of health and healing.  But I never saw this leap coming...

Last Thursday I attended a conference.  There, I was taught by an upper cervical (neck) adjuster. Now, I have been adjusting the upper cervical area for some time, but this is what I learned...  I have been mostly adjusting the area between C1 and C2.  The area that I now have access to is between C1 and the Occiput.  What does this mean to you?  The richest area of neurology is now accessible and as a result, better, faster outcomes.

This little change in understanding has taken my abilities from that of the level of Scottie Pippen to that of Michael Jordan.  Pretty cool!

It is really a blessing to be in a profession that allows me to grow in my understanding of life.  I am truly grateful.

I am also grateful for all of the clientele that have grown with me.  Thank you.

And of course, I am also grateful for all of the new clientele that now gets to take advantage off all that I have learned over my 17 years in this profession.

Please help me to spread the word.  There has never been a better time to be under my care.

Thank you.  I am very grateful.
